FAQ

Saddle Fit & Comfort

What size Western saddle do I need?

Most adult riders fit seat sizes between 15”–17”. Measure your inseam and body type for the rider’s fit, and check the gullet width and bar angle for the horse’s comfort. A good fit ensures balanced riding and prevents pressure points.

How do I know if a saddle will fit my horse?

A proper fit leaves clearance at the withers, sits level on the back, and doesn’t rock or pinch. Always check that the tree matches your horse’s back shape. When in doubt, consult a professional saddle fitter.

Are your saddles designed for long rides?

Yes. Our saddles are built for durability and rider comfort, with ergonomic seats, balanced stirrup placement, and padding for extended trail rides, roping, or arena work.

What is your warranty policy?

All new saddles include a manufacturer’s warranty covering structural defects like broken trees, faulty stitching, or hardware issues. Warranty details vary by brand. Normal wear and tear is not covered.

Saddle Accessories

Do I need a special saddle pad for my Western saddle?

Yes. A proper saddle pad ensures comfort, absorbs shock, and prevents pressure points. It also helps your saddle sit correctly on the horse.

How do I choose the right cinch?

Pick a cinch that matches your horse’s girth and your saddle’s rigging. Neoprene is easy to clean, while mohair is breathable and comfortable. The cinch should be snug but not overly tight.

What size stirrups do I need?

Stirrups should match your boot size. Standard sizes fit most adults, but youth options are available. Comfort or offset stirrups help reduce strain on knees and ankles during long rides.

Are your headstalls and reins adjustable?

Yes. Most headstalls are adjustable and fit average-sized horses. Ponies or drafts may require special sizing. Reins come in different lengths depending on your riding style.

How do I care for tack and accessories?

Leather tack → clean with saddle soap, condition regularly, store in a dry place.

Synthetic tack → wipe down with mild soap and water, requires less upkeep.

Can I return or exchange accessories?

Yes. Accessories may be returned within 14 days in unused condition. Custom-made or personalized tack may not be eligible for return—check product details before purchase.

Do you offer saddle + accessory bundles?
